1. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to information handled through this website and during direct business interactions with Juniper Metric. It covers prospective clients, current clients, website visitors, service providers, and authorized representatives of business customers. It does not govern third-party websites, advertising platforms, social networks, analytics products, or other services that maintain their own privacy practices.
Juniper Metric primarily serves businesses. When a person communicates with us for a company, we may treat the information as business contact information while still applying reasonable safeguards.
2. Information we may collect
Information you provide
Depending on how you interact with us, information may include your name, business email, phone number, company name, industry, project goals, requested services, working budget, timing, message content, billing details, and any materials you choose to provide for a project.
Website interaction information
Shopify, the active theme, the hosting environment, or installed services may automatically process technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP, referring page, page views, timestamps, language, and security events. The exact information depends on the live store configuration.
Client project information
When services are retained, we may receive brand materials, website access, campaign information, performance data, audience definitions, creative files, analytics exports, customer journey information, and credentials or permissions needed for approved work. Clients should provide only information necessary for the agreed scope.
3. How the custom website form works
The project brief form included in the custom website sections performs required-field validation in the visitor’s browser and displays a completion message. In its delivered form, it does not send, store, or transmit the entered information to Juniper Metric, Shopify, or an external processor. The fields are cleared after completion.
Visitors should use the business email shown on the website if they want to send an inquiry. Sensitive personal information, payment card details, passwords, health data, government identifiers, and confidential third-party records should not be entered into the demonstration form.
If the website owner later connects the form to Shopify, an email service, a CRM, or another processor, this policy should be updated before that connection is used.
4. Why information may be used
Information may be used to:
- respond to inquiries and evaluate whether a requested engagement is a suitable fit;
- prepare proposals, statements of work, timelines, and pricing;
- provide SEO, advertising, social media, content, email, website, branding, conversion, and analytics services;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and business systems;
- communicate about projects, approvals, deadlines, invoices, and service changes;
- maintain business, accounting, tax, and compliance records;
- protect rights, prevent misuse, and address disputes; and
- meet legal obligations and enforce agreements.
5. Legal bases and business purpose
Where a legal basis is required, processing may rely on performance of a contract, steps requested before entering a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting a business, consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations. The appropriate basis depends on the information, the relationship, and the applicable law.
Juniper Metric does not use personal information for unrelated purposes without an appropriate basis or notice.
6. How information may be shared
Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with service providers that support hosting, website operation, analytics, email, accounting, document management, customer relationship management, advertising, and professional advice. A provider receives only the information needed for its role and is expected to handle it under appropriate contractual and security terms.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, systems, or users; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets subject to appropriate protections.
Juniper Metric does not sell personal information for money. If a future technology configuration creates “sharing” or targeted advertising activity under a state privacy law, the policy and available controls should be updated.
7. Advertising and client data
Client advertising and analytics accounts may contain end-user information controlled by the client or by the applicable platform. Juniper Metric acts only within the permissions and scope authorized by the client. Clients remain responsible for their own privacy notices, consent mechanisms, lawful audience sources, platform terms, and instructions concerning personal information.
We do not request clients to upload unlawfully obtained contact lists, sensitive audience segments, or data they are not authorized to use.
8. Cookies and local technologies
The custom sections use browser storage to remember the dark or light theme selected by a visitor. The custom project brief form does not place form entries in browser storage. Shopify, the selected theme, and other enabled services may use cookies or similar technologies for security, preferences, performance, or other configured functions. See the Cookie Policy for additional detail.
9. Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant business purpose, contractual relationship, legal requirement, dispute, or security need. Retention periods may vary by record type. Proposal records may be retained for a limited business follow-up period; active client records may be retained for the engagement and required accounting or legal periods; technical security records may be retained for a shorter operational period.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, it may be deleted, anonymized, or securely archived as required by law.
10. Security
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures are used to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, misuse, or disclosure. Measures may include access limits, account permissions, secure service providers, authentication controls, software maintenance, backups, and staff or contractor confidentiality obligations.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Clients should use approved channels for sensitive materials and promptly remove access when a project ends.
11. Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on applicable law and the nature of the information, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about processing. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent where consent is the basis. A request may require reasonable identity and authority verification.
Some information may be retained when required for contracts, accounting, legal compliance, security, or the establishment and defense of legal claims. We will not discriminate against a person for making a valid privacy request.
12. Children
The website and services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 13. Juniper Metric does not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. If such information is identified, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
13. International access
The website may be accessible outside the United States. Information handled by Juniper Metric or its service providers may be processed in the United States or other locations where those providers operate. Where required, reasonable safeguards should be used for international transfers.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised to reflect changes in services, technology, website configuration, or law. The “Last updated” date will be changed when a revision is posted. Material changes may be communicated through an appropriate website or direct notice when required.
